Book Kate Beckinsale

Kate Beckinsale is an English actress, born in 1973, who has moved gracefully between British period drama and big-screen Hollywood action. The daughter of actors Richard Beckinsale and Judy Loe, she made her television debut in 1991 in an adaptation of P. D. James's Devices and Desires, followed by the pilot of the detective series Anna Lee. While still a student at Oxford she played Hero in Kenneth Branagh's Much Ado About Nothing (1993), then led costume dramas including Prince of Jutland (1994), Cold Comfort Farm (1995) and Emma (1996). She reached a global audience with Pearl Harbor (2001) and Serendipity (2001), and her role as the vampire warrior Selene in the Underworld franchise, from 2003 through Underworld: Blood Wars in 2016, made her an action icon. Her other major releases include The Aviator (2004), Van Helsing (2004), Click (2006) and Total Recall (2012), and she has earned acclaim for smaller dramas such as Snow Angels (2007), Love & Friendship (2016) and The Only Living Boy in New York (2017). She returned to television in The Widow (2019). Beckinsale brings wit, glamour and wide-ranging screen appeal.
