Book Hoobastank

Hoobastank is a rock band that singer Doug Robb and guitarist Dan Estrin started in Agoura Hills, California, in 1994, with Chris Hesse on drums and Markku Lappalainen as the first bassist. The group came up on the Southern California scene playing the Cobalt Cafe in Los Angeles on bills with Incubus and Linkin Park, and self-released its first full-length, They Sure Don't Make Basketball Shorts Like They Used To, in 1998. A growing local reputation brought a deal with Island Records, which released the self-titled Hoobastank in 2001. The band's defining moment came with The Reason (2003), whose soaring title track became a worldwide anthem and a staple of rock and pop radio. Hoobastank has earned two Grammy nominations and continued with Every Man for Himself (2006), For(n)ever (2009), Fight or Flight (2012) and Push Pull (2018). Fronted by Robb's powerful, melodic vocals, the band delivers a hit-filled set of big guitar riffs, emotional ballads and arena-sized choruses that brings the sound of 2000s rock radio roaring back to life for fans of every age.
