Book Guttermouth
Founded in Huntington Beach, California, in 1989, Guttermouth is a long-running staple of the Southern California punk scene. Fronted by singer Mark Adkins, the group's only constant member across every lineup, the band grew out of Orange County projects of the 1980s, including Adkins' early outfit Republic with guitarist Scott Sheldon, whose songs carried over into Guttermouth's live set. The band is famous for loud, fast, deliberately outrageous songs delivered with a sarcastic, comic edge that has made them cult favorites. Their catalog includes Full Length L.P. (1991), Friendly People (1994), Teri Yakimoto (1996), Musical Monkey (1997), Gorgeous (1999), Covered With Ants (2001), Gusto (2002), Eat Your Face (2004) and Shave the Planet (2006), along with the live album Beyond Warped (2006). Over the years Guttermouth has toured relentlessly, including dates on the Vans Warped Tour. Alongside nine full-length studio albums, the band has issued two live records capturing its unpredictable stage energy. Guttermouth brings breakneck, irreverent punk rock and a party-starting attitude for crowds raised on skate punk.
