Book Fred Durst
Fred Durst, born Frederick Allen Mayne III, is a rapper, singer, songwriter, film director and actor, best known as the voice and lyric writer of the band Limp Bizkit, a leader of nu metal. The group came together in 1994 when Durst, bassist Sam Rivers and drummer John Otto began jamming and quickly wrote three songs. Limp Bizkit have released six studio albums, with Durst credited on records such as The Unquestionable Truth in 2005 and Gold Cobra in 2011. He has earned three Grammy nominations. Outside the band he moved into film, directing The Education of Charlie Banks, and he acted in I Saw the TV Glow in 2024. Durst is a loud, confrontational showman in a red cap whose rap-rock energy still draws big festival crowds, and his resume stretches across music, film and pop culture.
