Book Fleet Foxes
Fleet Foxes have earned two Grammy nominations, and their lush harmonies and pastoral songwriting have made them leaders of modern indie folk. Formed in Seattle in 2006, the band is led by singer, guitarist and principal songwriter Robin Pecknold, with fellow founder Skyler Skjelset, Casey Wescott, Christian Wargo and multi-instrumentalist Morgan Henderson. In 2008 they released the Sun Giant EP and their self-titled debut album on Sub Pop, both widely praised, and they were honored at the MOJO Awards. Helplessness Blues (2011) reached number four on the Billboard 200 and earned a Grammy nomination for Best Folk Album. After a break, during which Pecknold studied at Columbia University, the band returned in 2017 with the ambitious Crack-Up on Nonesuch Records. Shore, released in 2020 on Anti-, was largely Pecknold's own creation. Known for intricate vocal arrangements built on three- and four-part harmony, acoustic guitars and mandolin, Fleet Foxes deliver concerts that reproduce their layered recordings with striking precision.
