Book Danielle Ponder

Danielle Ponder is an American soul singer and songwriter whose path to music ran through the courtroom: she spent years as a public defender before leaving that role in December 2021 to devote herself to performing. Her debut album, Some of Us Are Brave (2022), blended soul, R&B and trip-hop into a dramatic, cinematic sound, and that same year she appeared on Late Night with Seth Meyers. In 2023 she performed on General Hospital and played Lollapalooza, then issued a deluxe edition of the album featuring the new song "Roll the Credits" (2023). That track went on to soundtrack Apple's iPhone 16 advertising campaign in 2024 and to close out the video game Dragon Age: Veilguard. Ponder also wrote and sang the theme for the 2024 Apple TV miniseries Manhunt. Her singles include "Holding Me Down" (2019), "So Long" (2022), "The Only Way Out" (2022) and "Spiraling" (2023), and her second album, Everything Has Changed, arrived in 2026. With a powerhouse voice and a commanding stage presence, she delivers performances that feel both intimate and grand, carrying listeners from hushed ballads to full-voiced, goosebump-raising climaxes.
