Book Color Me Badd
Color Me Badd is the Oklahoma City R&B vocal group behind some of the smoothest harmonies of the early 1990s. Sam Watters, Bryan Abrams, Kevin Thornton and Mark Calderon met as choir members at Northwest Classen High School and formed the group in 1985, modeling themselves on New Edition and classic doo-wop and soul harmony acts. Their debut album, C.M.B. (1991), delivered "I Wanna Sex You Up," "I Adore Mi Amor" and "All 4 Love," and the group scored two number-one singles and nine Top 40 hits overall. Time & Chance (1993) brought "Choose," followed by Now & Forever (1996) and Awakening (1998). Honors include two Soul Train Music Awards in 1992, an American Music Award, two Grammy nominations including Best New Artist, and induction into the Oklahoma Music Hall of Fame in 2000. Their songs have appeared in New Jack City, Mo' Money, No Strings Attached and Glee, and they played themselves on Beverly Hills, 90210. After splitting in 1998, they reunited in 2010. Color Me Badd brings silky four-part vocals and a set full of slow-jam and new jack swing favorites.
