Book Christopher Cross
Christopher Cross is an American singer, songwriter and guitarist whose 1979 self-titled debut album introduced a major new voice in soft rock. At the Grammy Awards in 1981 the record collected five trophies, among them Album of the Year and Best New Artist, a rare sweep for a first release. His single "Sailing" topped the Billboard Hot 100 in 1980, and "Arthur's Theme (Best That You Can Do)," co-written with Peter Allen, Burt Bacharach and Carole Bayer Sager for the film Arthur, also reached number one and won the Academy Award for Best Original Song. He has since built a catalog of thirteen studio albums that includes Another Page, Every Turn of the World, Back of My Mind and Walking in Avalon. Cross remains a polished live performer, with a clear, high tenor and a smooth guitar style, ready to perform his best-known hits for an audience.
