Book Charlie Wilson
Charlie Wilson, known to fans as Uncle Charlie, is a singer, songwriter and record producer from Tulsa, Oklahoma who spent four decades fronting the Gap Band. He sang lead for that group from its start in 1967 until it wound down in 2010, and then built a successful solo career. He won a NAACP Image Award for outstanding album in 2014 and a BET Award for best collaboration in 2003. Wilson's smooth, silky voice and warm audience rapport run through his funk, soul and R&B hits, and a Charlie Wilson concert is a sing-along celebration of generations of R&B.
