Book Blind Pilot

Blind Pilot is an indie folk band from Portland, Oregon, known for warm harmonies, lush acoustic arrangements and the heartfelt songwriting of frontman Israel Nebeker. The group began as a duo of Nebeker and drummer Ryan Dobrowski, whose debut album, 3 Rounds and a Sound (2008), released on Expunged Records, broke through when iTunes chose "Go On, Say It" as a Single of the Week and the record climbed to number 13 on Billboard's Top Digital Albums chart. Expanding to a six-piece in 2009, they issued a live EP featuring a cover of Gillian Welch's "Look at Miss Ohio" and the new song "Get It Out", recorded and mixed by Tucker Martine. Their second album, We Are the Tide (2011), earned a 4.5-star AllMusic review praising the brighter colors the larger lineup brought. And Then Like Lions (2016) arrived on ATO Records to wide critical acclaim, and the band returned in 2024 with In the Shadow of the Holy Mountain, led by the single "Just A Bird". In concert, the full band creates a rich, intimate sound full of horns, harmonies and gently soaring melodies.
