Book Avi Nash
Avi Nash is an American actor known to genre fans for two major series. On AMC's The Walking Dead he played Siddiq from 2017 to 2020, across seasons eight through ten, and the role made history as the show's first male Muslim-American character. Since 2023 he has played Lukas Kyle in the Apple TV science fiction drama Silo. Nash made his feature debut in Learning to Drive, starring Ben Kingsley and Patricia Clarkson and directed by Isabel Coixet, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in 2014 and placed first runner-up for the festival's People's Choice Award. He also appeared in the film Barry (2016). His path to acting was far from typical. Before his screen career he ran a closed-door restaurant out of a hostel in Buenos Aires, cooking for guests, and led bicycle tours. He studied Hindi at Stanford, can read and write Devanagari and Urdu, took an acting course in India taught entirely in Hindi and picked up Portuguese while living near the Brazilian border. He is a regular guest at fan conventions, including Walker Stalker Convention.
