Book Sam Heughan

Scottish actor, author and entrepreneur Sam Heughan is known as Jamie Fraser on the Starz historical fantasy drama Outlander (2014–2026). It won him the Saturn Award for Best Actor on Television and a People's Choice Award, plus a Critics' Choice nomination for Best Actor in a Drama Series. While still a drama student he took time off to perform in David Greig's play Outlying Islands, which moved from Edinburgh's Traverse Theatre to London's Royal Court and earned him a Laurence Olivier Award nomination for Most Promising Performer. His first professional TV role came in the World War II miniseries Island at War (2004). On film he has starred in the spy comedy The Spy Who Dumped Me (2018) and the superhero action film Bloodshot (2020). With Outlander co-star Graham McTavish he wrote Clanlands: Whisky, Warfare, and a Scottish Adventure Like No Other, which hit number one on the New York Times hardcover nonfiction list in 2020. That same year he launched his own Scotch whisky, The Sassenach, which won double gold medals at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition in 2020 and 2021. Heughan brings Highland charm and an adventurer's energy to audiences.
