Book Antony Starr
Antony Starr is a New Zealand actor best known worldwide as Homelander, the chillingly charismatic superhero at the center of Amazon's satirical hit The Boys and its spin-offs (2019–2026). He has said he sent in his audition tape partly out of frustration, with little more to go on than the phrase "Bad Superman," and the performance became one of the defining elements of the series. Before that, Starr was a household name at home for playing twin brothers Jethro and Van West on the long-running drama Outrageous Fortune (2005–2010), and he led the Cinemax action series Banshee (2013–2016) as Lucas Hood. His film work earned him the AACTA Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for the 2012 Australian drama Wish You Were Here, and a New Zealand Film Award nomination for best actor for After the Waterfall (2010). Other credits include the horror film Cobweb (2023) and the series American Gothic. Starr brings intensity, sly humor and candid behind-the-scenes stories from playing one of television's most talked-about villains.
