Book Ana Torroja
Ana Torroja is a Spanish singer best known as the lead voice of Mecano, the pop trio that was a top-tier pop act in Spain and across Latin America during the 1980s and 1990s. She became the group's vocalist in 1981 and sang through seven albums before Mecano split in 1998, after which she built a solo career. Her eight studio albums as a soloist include Puntos cardinales in 1997, Pasajes de un sueño in 1999, Ana Torroja in 2001, Frágil in 2003, Me cuesta tanto olvidarte in 2006, Sonrisa in 2010, Mil razones in 2021 and Se ha acabado el show in 2026. In 2023 she received the Latin Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award, and she has also been honored with a Premios Oye! award. Torroja has an expressive, instantly recognizable voice that carries both the Mecano songbook and her own material, and her concerts bring together generations of Spanish-language pop audiences who know every word.
