Book Juanes
Juanes holds 26 Latin Grammy Awards plus two Grammy Awards, for Best Latin Pop Album and Best Latin Rock or Alternative Album, making him a cornerstone of Latin rock and pop. The Colombian singer, songwriter and guitarist started on piano at two and formed the rock band Ekhymosis at 17; the group recorded eight albums and scored at home with "Solo" from Niño Gigante. After the band ended in 1997 he went solo, and his debut Fíjate Bien (2000) earned three Latin Grammys plus Best New Artist. Un Día Normal followed in 2002 and swept Album, Record and Song of the Year. Mi Sangre (2004) became an international success on the strength of "La Camisa Negra." He took Album of the Year again with La Vida... Es Un Ratico in 2008 and later released P.A.R.C.E., Loco de Amor, Mis planes son amarte and Más Futuro Que Pasado. The Latin Recording Academy named him its Person of the Year in 2019, he entered the Latin Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2022, and France made him a Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres.
