Book Kate Bush
Kate Bush is a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee, a five-time Grammy nominee and a singular songwriter and producer. The English singer, musician and dancer was writing songs at 11 and signed with EMI after Pink Floyd's David Gilmour helped pay for her demo. She was 19 when "Wuthering Heights" made her a star in 1978, and her debut album, The Kick Inside, arrived that year, followed quickly by Lionheart. Never for Ever (1980) came next, and from The Dreaming (1982) onward she has produced all her own albums. Hounds of Love (1985), home to "Running Up That Hill," and The Sensual World (1989) are central to her reputation for eclectic sound, unconventional lyrics and inventive choreography. After The Red Shoes (1993) she stepped back until Aerial in 2005, then issued both Director's Cut and 50 Words for Snow in 2011. She runs her own company, Fish People. Her honors include an Ivor Novello Award in 2002 and appointment as a CBE in 2013, ahead of her 2023 Rock Hall induction.
