Book Alexis Ohanian
Alexis Ohanian is an investor and Armenian American tech founder best known for co-founding Reddit with Steve Huffman and Aaron Swartz and later serving as its executive chairman. His interest in technology began in middle school with a dial-up modem; he took programming classes at a community college, learned to build websites on message boards and, as a teenager, built sites for nonprofits for free. He once planned on law school but walked out of the LSAT and into a Waffle House in Charlottesville, Virginia, a turn that led toward Reddit, which he ran from 2005 to 2020. Beyond Reddit he co-founded the early-stage venture firm Initialized Capital, helped launch the travel search site Hipmunk, started the social enterprise Breadpig and served as a partner at the accelerator Y Combinator. His founding credits also include Athlos. Ohanian is married to Serena Williams; the couple and their two daughters make their home in Florida.
