Book Abra Moore
Abra Moore is an American singer-songwriter known for folk-styled rock. Influenced early by the jazz saxophone of her brother Matt Moore, she joined the Hawaiian rock band Poi Dog Pondering at 19 as a founding member, moving with the group to Los Angeles and then Austin, Texas, before going solo. Her debut album Sing (1995) was followed by Strangest Places (1997), which included the hit "Four Leaf Clover." The single charted on the Billboard Hot 100, earned rotation on VH1 and MTV2, and received a Grammy nomination for Best Female Rock Vocal Performance. A companion release, Live from the Strangest Places, offered acoustic takes on the album's songs. Her music also reached film audiences, with "Trip on Love" on the Cruel Intentions soundtrack and "Don't Feel Like Cryin" in Sliding Doors. Later albums include Everything Changed (2004) and On the Way (2007). Moore brings Austin-honed songcraft, warm melodies and a Grammy-nominated hit to the stage.
