Book 12th Planet
12th Planet is the stage name of John Dadzie, a Los Angeles DJ and producer widely seen as one of the pioneers who brought dubstep to the United States. Raised in South Los Angeles, he discovered electronic music in high school and first produced drum and bass under the alias Infiltrata before switching to dubstep in 2006 and adopting the 12th Planet name, a nod to Zecharia Sitchin's book. Fans know him as the "General of the Riddim Gang." He has collaborated with Skrillex and Kill The Noise on tracks such as "Needed Change," "Father Said" and "Burst," as well as with Flinch, Datsik, Doctor P, Virtual Riot and Skream, and his productions turn up in sets by many leading dubstep DJs. He served as head of A&R for SMOG Records and Disciple Round Table. His albums include The End in 2012 and Monomyth LP in 2023. 12th Planet has toured in London, Sydney and Auckland and played major festivals including Electric Daisy Carnival, Coachella, Ultra Music Festival and SXSW. His DJ sets are heavy, high-octane bass journeys.
