Book Yngwie Malmsteen

Yngwie Malmsteen is a Swedish-American guitarist who rose to fame in the 1980s as the pioneer of neoclassical shred, fusing heavy metal with the speed and structure of classical music. After demo recordings from his teenage years caught the attention of Shrapnel Records' Mike Varney, he moved to the United States in 1983 to play on Steeler's self-titled album, then joined Graham Bonnet in Alcatrazz for No Parole from Rock 'n' Roll (1983) and Live Sentence (1984). Launching his solo career, he released Rising Force (1984), Trilogy (1986) and Odyssey (1988), and kept up the pace in the nineties with Eclipse (1990), Fire & Ice (1992), The Seventh Sign (1994) and Magnum Opus (1995). His ambitions went orchestral with Concerto Suite for Electric Guitar and Orchestra in E‐flat minor, op. 1 (1998). Later releases include Relentless (2010), World on Fire (2016), the blues-rooted Blue Lightning (2019), Parabellum (2021) and Hell or High Water (2026), and he founded his own label, Rising Force Records. He has also earned a Grammy nomination. In concert Yngwie delivers dazzling, lightning-fast virtuosity, towering walls of amplifiers and a theatrical guitar-hero show.
