Book Walking on Cars

Walking on Cars were the Irish rock band from Dingle, County Kerry, whose sweeping piano-driven anthems made them a favorite young Irish band of the 2010s. The group's final lineup featured singer Pa Sheehy, pianist Sorcha Durham, bassist Paul Flannery and drummer Evan Hadnett. Their first single, "Catch Me If You Can" (2012), went to number one on the Irish iTunes chart and set them on their way. They followed it with two EPs, As We Fly South (2013) and Hand in Hand (2014), steadily building a loyal following through relentless touring at home and abroad. Their debut album, Everything This Way, arrived in January 2016 and went straight to number one in Ireland, carried by songs including "Speeding Cars." The second album, Colours, followed in April 2019 and showed a brighter, more expansive pop side. The members called it a day in August 2020, the same day it released a final six-track EP called Clouds. Walking on Cars were known for emotional, singalong live shows that combined Sheehy's powerful vocals with lush keys and big, soaring choruses.
