Book Vince Gilligan

Vince Gilligan is the American screenwriter, producer and director behind Breaking Bad, the AMC crime drama he created and ran from 2008 to 2013. He followed it with the prequel Better Call Saul (2015 to 2022) and the sequel film El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019), which he wrote, directed and produced. His career took off on Fox's The X-Files, where his spec script became the second-season episode "Soft Light"; he went on to write dozens more episodes, rise to executive producer, and co-create the spin-off The Lone Gunmen. He also co-wrote the superhero feature Hancock (2008), and he created Pluribus, the Apple TV science fiction drama he leads as head writer and producer. His honors include five Primetime Emmy Awards, among them Outstanding Drama Series, along with six Writers Guild of America Awards, a Directors Guild of America Award and a BAFTA Television Award. As a speaker he offers a rare inside view of building a television world from scratch, the craft of character change, and the writers' room process that turned a chemistry teacher into one of television's great antiheroes.
