Book Unwritten Law
Unwritten Law is a punk rock band from Poway, California, founded by drummer Wade Youman and shaped in the busy San Diego scene of the early 1990s. Singer Scott Russo joined after an impromptu house-party performance of Fugazi's "Waiting Room," and the band released its Six Song Demo in 1992 and the single Blurr in 1993. Their debut album, Blue Room (1994), was followed by Oz Factor (1996) and the self-titled Unwritten Law (1998). Elva (2001) brought their best-known single, "Seein' Red," which topped the US Modern Rock chart, while "Save Me (Wake Up Call)" also reached the top five of that chart. Later releases include Here's to the Mourning (2004), Swan (2011), Acoustic (2016) and The Hum (2022). The band has toured widely at home and abroad, most notably on the Warped Tour, including the 2011 Warped Tour, and headlined the Swan Tour that same year. Unwritten Law brings melodic, high-energy punk with big singalong choruses and decades of road-tested stage chemistry, giving fans of 2000s alternative radio a loud, nostalgic and hard-hitting night.
