Book Uncle Kracker
Uncle Kracker is a singer and musician from Mount Clemens, Michigan, who started out as a turntablist in Kid Rock's band Twisted Brown Trucker before launching his own career in 2000 with the album Double Wide. His relaxed, easygoing country-pop style produced "Follow Me," which became a steady radio favorite, and a hit duet of the Dobie Gray classic "Drift Away" on No Stranger to Shame. "In a Little While" and the sunny, feel-good "Smile" extended the run. His catalog includes Seventy Two & Sunny, Happy Hour, Midnight Special and Coffee & Beer, released in 2024. He has toured widely with Kid Rock and other friends, and in 2023 joined the Sharp Dressed Simple Man Tour. He was born Matthew Shafer on June 6, 1974, and "Follow Me," "Drift Away" and "Smile" each placed inside the top 40 on the Hot 100.
