Book Toto
Toto came together in Los Angeles in 1977 as a rock group of veteran session players including guitarist Steve Lukather, keyboardists David Paich and Steve Porcaro and drummer Jeff Porcaro. Their self-titled debut in 1978 included "Hold the Line," and they earned a Best New Artist nomination at the Grammys. Toto IV in 1982 produced "Rosanna," "Africa" and "I Won't Hold You Back" and won several Grammys, while Isolation, Fahrenheit, The Seventh One, Kingdom of Desire, Tambu, Mindfields, Through the Looking Glass, Falling in Between, Toto XIV and Old Is New complete fourteen studio albums. Grammy.com lists three wins and five nominations. They also composed the score for the film Dune. Their members are among Los Angeles's most recorded studio players, and the live show features virtuoso guitar solos, layered harmonies and well-known hits.
