The Jacksons, originally the Jackson 5, are a pop and soul group from Gary, Indiana, formed in 1964 by brothers Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael Jackson. They recorded for Steeltown Records and then Motown, where "I Want You Back," "ABC," "The Love You Save" and "I'll Be There" made them superstars. Later hits include "Dancing Machine," "Blame It on the Boogie," "Shake Your Body (Down to the Ground)," "Can You Feel It" and "State of Shock." After moving to Epic they became The Jacksons, and their Victory Tour in 1984 was a landmark. The group has sixteen albums, was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and has a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Tito Jackson died in 2024, and Marlon and Jackie continue to perform the catalog with supporting musicians in live concerts, with Motown choreography and classic hits.
