Book The Blanks

The Blanks are a four-man American a cappella act best known to television audiences as the singing quartet on the hit comedy Scrubs. The group traces back to Syracuse University, where Sam Lloyd and George Miserlis met bassist Paul F. Perry; after relocating to Los Angeles they added tenor Philip McNiven. Lloyd played hospital lawyer Ted Buckland on Scrubs, and when the band sang the show's theme at a cast Christmas party, producer Bill Lawrence wrote them into the series. Appearing under names like Ted's Band and The Worthless Peons, they delivered cartoon themes such as Speed Racer and Underdog, prime-time TV themes, commercial jingles, Hava Nagila, Eight Days a Week and a much-loved arrangement of Over the Rainbow. On record the group released Riding the Wave and Kiss You on the Mouth (both 2004) and Love You Too (2005). The Blanks bring tight four-part harmony, playful comedy and instant pop-culture nostalgia, with a repertoire that spans TV themes, standards and pop favorites, all delivered with no instruments at all.
