Book Sylvia Hoeks

Sylvia Hoeks is a Dutch actress and former model who has moved from leading roles in Dutch cinema to major international films. Scouted by Elite Model Management at fourteen, she modeled across Europe before training at the Maastricht Academy of Dramatic Arts. Her breakthrough came in Jos Stelling's Duska (2007), which won her a Golden Calf for Best Supporting Actress, the Netherlands' top film honor. She went on to star in The Storm (2009), the title role in Tirza (2010), The Gang of Oss (2011) and The Girl and Death (2012), and on Dutch television in the dramas Bloedverwanten and Overspel, plus the comedy Bro's Before Ho's (2013). Her first international role came in The Best Offer (2013). She then won global attention as the formidable replicant Luv in Blade Runner 2049 (2017), training in weights and martial arts six hours a day for the part, and played Lisbeth Salander's sister in The Girl in the Spider's Web (2018), and the action film Renegades. She received the Sylvia Kristel Award in 2014. Hoeks brings European art-house credibility and sci-fi star power to festivals, premieres and fan events.
