Justin Kirk is an American actor celebrated for his stage work and for two standout television roles. He earned a Primetime Emmy nomination for playing Prior Walter in HBO's acclaimed miniseries Angels in America (2003), and he won a big following as the freewheeling Andy Botwin on Showtime's Weeds from 2005 to 2012. Kirk came up in the New York theater, making his Broadway debut in Frank Gilroy's Any Given Day and playing Bobby Brahms in Terrence McNally's Love! Valour! Compassion! both on and off Broadway from 1994 to 1995. He went on to star in Old Wicked Songs in New York and Los Angeles, received the Lucille Lortel Award for Outstanding Featured Actor in 2001 and joined Other Desert Cities on Broadway in 2012. On television he starred in The WB's Jack & Jill from 1999 to 2001, led the NBC sitcom Animal Practice, and appeared in Manhattan, You're the Worst and Kidding before playing Hamilton Burger on HBO's Perry Mason in 2020 and joining Succession in 2021.
