Book Slowthai
Slowthai is a rapper from Northampton, England, born Tyron Kaymone Frampton, whose stage name grew out of a childhood nickname inspired by his slow, drawling way of talking. He broke through with the 2016 single "Jiggle," released the I Wish I Knew EP with indie label Bone Soda in 2017 and then signed with Method Records, where he issued the Runt EP. His blunt, politically charged lyrics and gritty, rough-edged production made him one of the breakout voices of 2019, when he finished fourth in the BBC Sound of 2019 poll and appeared on the NME 100 list. That year his debut album Nothing Great About Britain arrived and was shortlisted for the Mercury Prize. He followed it with TYRON (2021) and UGLY (2023), and he has earned a Grammy nomination. Slowthai has also worked alongside major names, adding uncredited vocals to "What's Good" on Tyler, the Creator's album Igor and appearing on Brockhampton's "Heaven Belongs to You." Live, he delivers raw, kinetic, high-volume performances that blur the lines between rap, punk and grime.
