Book Shura
Shura is the stage name of Alexandra Lilah Denton, an English singer, songwriter and producer known for shimmering electropop and synth-pop that also reaches into indie and folk textures. A self-taught producer who learned music software from online tutorials while working night shifts at a video editing house, she broke through in 2014 with the single "Touch," co-produced with Joel Pott of Athlete, and she co-directed and edited its video herself. Singles including "Just Once," "Indecision," "2Shy" and "White Light" followed, along with her remix of Jessie Ware's "Say You Love Me," and she was longlisted for the BBC Sound of 2015 poll. Mumford & Sons later covered "2Shy." Her debut album Nothing's Real arrived on Polydor in 2016, followed by forevher in 2019 and I Got Too Sad For My Friends in 2025. She has played festivals such as Bestival, Festival N°6 and Latitude. Shura brings a producer's ear and a sleek, emotional pop sound to the stage.
