Book Sally Struthers

Sally Struthers is an American actress and activist who became a television icon as Gloria Stivic, Archie and Edith Bunker's daughter, on the groundbreaking sitcom All in the Family (1971 to 1978). The role earned her five Primetime Emmy nominations, and she won the supporting comedy actress trophy in both 1972 and 1979, plus four Golden Globe nominations. A Portland, Oregon native, she broke into show business in 1970 on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour and The Tim Conway Comedy Hour, and that year appeared in Five Easy Pieces before joining The Getaway (1972). She voiced Pebbles Flintstone on The Pebbles and Bamm-Bamm Show, revisited Gloria on Archie Bunker's Place and her own spin-off Gloria, and starred in the sitcom 9 to 5 from 1986 to 1988. Her voice work continued with Hanna-Barbera favorites such as Yo Yogi! and Droopy, Master Detective, plus TaleSpin and Dinosaurs. Later generations know her as Babette on Gilmore Girls (2000 to 2007) and Virginia on Netflix's A Man on the Inside since 2024. She has also earned a Grammy nomination and an Ovation Award, and spent years as an advocate for the Christian Children's Fund.
