Book Rudy Pankow
Rudy Pankow is an American actor who became a breakout star as JJ Maybank on Netflix's teen mystery-adventure series Outer Banks. He played the role across the show's first four seasons, from 2020 to 2024. Set among the barrier islands of North Carolina, the series follows two rival groups of teenagers caught up in a hunt for lost treasure, and it became a worldwide hit for the streamer, with each of its first three seasons reaching Netflix's global weekly top 10 and the third season drawing 99 million hours viewed. Pankow's energetic, scene-stealing performance made JJ a fan favorite and turned him into one of the show's most recognizable faces. On the big screen he appeared in the video game adaptation Uncharted (2022) and in the film Reminders of Him (2026). He has also stretched himself on stage, starring as Romeo in the American Repertory Theatre's 2024 production of Romeo and Juliet. Pankow brings youthful charisma and a massive, engaged fan base from one of streaming's most popular teen dramas.
