Book Rick Barry
Rick Barry is an American basketball Hall of Famer and a scoring machine of rare range. A three-time All-American at the University of Miami, he went on to become the only player ever to lead the NCAA, the ABA and the NBA in scoring in a season. With the Warriors he was NBA Rookie of the Year in 1966 and All-Star Game MVP in 1967, and in 1975 he led Golden State to the NBA championship, earning Finals MVP honors. He also starred in the ABA for the Oakland Oaks, Washington Caps and the Nets, finishing as that league's all-time leader in scoring average in both the regular season and playoffs, and he later played for the Houston Rockets. His 36.3 points per game remain the highest average in NBA Finals history. Famous for his underhanded free throws, he shot .900 from the line in the NBA, the best mark of any player when he retired in 1980. Barry entered the Naismith Hall of Fame in 1987 and was named to the NBA's 50th and 75th anniversary teams.
