Book Regina Spektor

Regina Spektor is a Moscow-born American singer, songwriter and pianist known for quirky, literate songs and a striking voice that leaps from whisper to wail. She came up through New York's East Village anti-folk scene, selling self-released records such as 11:11 (2001) and Songs (2002) at her shows before issuing Soviet Kitsch in 2003. Opening for the Strokes on their Room on Fire tour widened her audience, and she signed with Sire Records in 2004, which re-released Soviet Kitsch and then put out Begin to Hope (2006), the album that brought her into the mainstream and a Shortlist Music Prize nomination. Far (2009) and What We Saw from the Cheap Seats (2012) both opened at number 3 on the Billboard 200, followed by Remember Us to Life (2016) and Home, before and after (2022). She has also earned a Grammy nomination. New York City proclaimed June 11, 2019, as Regina Spektor Day, and that year she joined the Bronx Walk of Fame. Live, Spektor holds a room with solo piano, playful storytelling and songs that move from humor to heartbreak in a single verse.
