Book Peter Paige

Peter Paige is an American actor, director and screenwriter best known for playing the exuberant Emmett Honeycutt on Showtime's groundbreaking drama Queer as Folk (2000 to 2003). His television credits also include Will & Grace, Grey's Anatomy, Girlfriends, The Closer, Without a Trace and American Dad!, and his very first Los Angeles audition landed him a guest role on Suddenly Susan. Paige stepped behind the camera with Say Uncle, his feature debut as writer and director, which he shot in 2004 with a cast including Kathy Najimy, Melanie Lynskey and Gabrielle Union. Other film work includes Don McKellar's Childstar and Showtime's Our America, which premiered at Sundance in 2002. A trained stage actor, he has originated roles in new plays at Playwrights Horizons, La Jolla Playhouse and Portland Center Stage, and co-wrote and performed the two-man show Pantophobia. In 2013 he co-created the family drama The Fosters with Bradley Bredeweg for ABC Family, a series produced by Jennifer Lopez. Paige brings an insider's view of acting, writing and creating television that champions authentic, inclusive storytelling.
