Book Mickey Avalon
Mickey Avalon is an American rapper from California known for a flamboyant, glam-tinged persona and raw, unfiltered storytelling that set him apart in hip-hop. After moving to Los Angeles, he was encouraged to rap by former MTV VJ Simon Rex, and the two began handing out demos to Hollywood clubs, building an early following in the Santa Cruz nightclub scene. He entered hip-hop in 2000 under the name the Relevant, then teamed up with Existereo of the Shape Shifters on a run of songs beginning with "No Class" in 2004. His self-titled debut album, Mickey Avalon (2006), arrived through Interscope and Shoot to Kill Records in partnership with MySpace Records, producing the cult favorites "Jane Fonda" and "Mr. Right". In 2007 he added lyrics and vocals to Unwritten Law's "Shoulda Known Better." He has kept a steady flow of records coming ever since, including Loaded (2012), Teardrops on My Tombstone (2017), Speak Of The Devil (2020) and Never Satisfied (2023), for five studio albums in all. Known for performing shirtless in heavy eye makeup, Avalon brings a theatrical, party-starting energy to the stage, backed by his catchy, irreverent hits and a loyal fan base.
