Book Meredith Baxter

Meredith Baxter is an American actress and producer whose warm, grounded performances made her one of television's most familiar faces across three decades. She is best known as Elyse Keaton, the former flower-child mom on the NBC sitcom Family Ties (1982 to 1989), and before that as Nancy Lawrence Maitland on the ABC drama Family (1976 to 1980), a role that earned Primetime Emmy nominations in 1977 and 1978. She first starred on the CBS sitcom Bridget Loves Bernie (1972 to 1973) after early guest spots on shows such as The Partridge Family, and she appeared on Rowan and Martin's Laugh-In in 1973. On the big screen she played the wife of a White House aide in All the President's Men (1976), and she starred in a 1978 version of Little Women and the HBO stage adaptation Vanities (1981). Her title role in A Woman Scorned: The Betty Broderick Story (1992) brought another Emmy nomination, and in all she is a five-time Emmy nominee, including Daytime Emmy nods in 1994 and 2015. Baxter brings decades of beloved sitcom and drama history and a gracious, engaging presence.
