Book MattyB
MattyB is the Georgia-born rapper, singer and YouTuber who built one of the platform's biggest young music channels. Born Matthew Morris in Duluth, Georgia in 2003, he started posting covers of popular songs in 2010, beginning with Justin Bieber's "Eenie Meenie," and quickly added original songs to the mix. By August 2014 his YouTube channel had passed one billion views, and by mid-2015 it held dozens of covers alongside 20 original tracks. His 2012 music video for "That's the Way" reached number 11 on Billboard's Social 50 chart and doubled his following across Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. In August 2015 he premiered his debut EP, Outside the Lines, a set of four original songs, and in June 2016 he published a memoir, That's a Rap, written with Travis Thrasher. He has appeared on television on Today and The Wendy Williams Show. For audiences who grew up watching online video, MattyB is a familiar name with a decade of music and a fan base that followed him from childhood covers to original work.
