Book Masego
Masego earned a Grammy nomination for Best Progressive R&B Album with Studying Abroad: Extended Stay, a high point for the Jamaican-American singer, songwriter and saxophonist who calls his sound TrapHouseJazz. Born Micah Davis, he puts the saxophone at the center of his songs, blending jazz, R&B, hip-hop and dance music. He first drew notice in 2015 with The Pink Polo EP, made with producer Medasin and featuring "Girls That Dance," followed by the Loose Thoughts EP in 2016. His breakout came in 2017 with "Tadow," an improvised session recorded with French musician FKJ shortly after they met, which became a worldwide favorite and later led his debut album, Lady Lady (2018). That record brought in guests including FKJ, SiR, Tiffany Gouché and De'Wayne Jackson. The Studying Abroad EP arrived in November 2020 and was expanded into the Grammy-nominated edition, and his self-titled second album followed in March 2023. In 2026 he released Fix Your Face. As a live performer he moves between vocals, saxophone and keys, often improvising in the moment, which makes each set a showcase of his musicianship as much as his songs.
