Book Marco Benevento
Marco Benevento is a pianist, songwriter and producer who has been part of New York's experimental rock and jazz scene since 1999. He plays in the Benevento/Russo Duo and in a Grateful Dead–inspired band, both with drummer and frequent partner Joe Russo, and he built Fred Short, his own studio upstate, where much of his music takes shape. His solo catalog includes Invisible Baby and Me Not Me in 2008, Between the Needles and Nightfall in 2010, TigerFace in 2012, Swift in 2014, The Story of Fred Short in 2016, Let It Slide in 2019, Benevento in 2022 and Glera in 2026. Known for playing a battered piano alongside electronics and toy instruments, Benevento delivers improvisational live shows that appeal to jam-band audiences and jazz festivals alike.
