Book Magic!
Magic! is a reggae-fusion group that began in Toronto and now works out of Los Angeles, made up of lead vocalist, guitarist and producer Nasri Atweh, guitarist and keyboardist Mark Pellizzer, and bassist Ben Spivak. The group formed in 2012 after Atweh, a songwriter for other pop artists, and Pellizzer wrote "Don't Judge Me" for Chris Brown and decided to start a band in the spirit of a modern-day Police. Their influences include the Police and Bob Marley, and they signed with Latium, Sony and RCA Records. Their debut album, Don't Kill the Magic, arrived in 2014, followed by Primary Colours (2016), Expectations (2018) and Inner Love Energy (2024). The single "Rude" reached number one in several countries, including the United States. The band toured in 2015 on the Maroon V Tour. Magic! delivers a sunny, reggae-tinged pop sound with big choruses and strong musicianship.
