Book Lacey Sturm

Lacey Sturm is a rock vocalist best known as the voice of Flyleaf, the alternative rock band she helped build in Texas in the early 2000s. She began playing with drummer James Culpepper in 2000, and with guitarists Sameer Bhattacharya and Jared Hartmann and bassist Pat Seals the group took shape as Passerby before becoming Flyleaf in 2004. Sturm fronted the band through its rise, stepping away in 2012 shortly before the release of New Horizons, an album later nominated for the Dove Award for Rock Album of the Year. Going solo, she made history in 2016 when her debut Life Screams made her the first solo female artist to reach No. 1 on Billboard's Hard Rock Albums chart, and she followed it with Reflect Love Back (2019) and Kenotic Metanoia (2023). She also sang backing vocals on "Run to You" and "Born Again" from Third Day's Revelation and wrote the book The Reason: How I Discovered a Life Worth Living. In 2022 she rejoined her old bandmates, now billed as Flyleaf with Lacey Sturm, bringing her raw, soaring voice back to the stage.
