Book Mac Powell
Mac Powell is the voice of Third Day, the Christian rock band he co-founded with guitarist Mark Lee in Georgia, and a solo artist who also moves easily into country music. Born in Clanton, Alabama, he grew up in Powder Springs, Georgia, where a high school friendship with Lee grew into one of contemporary Christian music's most decorated bands. With Third Day he won four Grammy Awards from 13 nominations, taking Best Rock Gospel Album for Come Together and Wire, Best Pop/Contemporary Gospel Album for Wherever You Are, and Best Rock or Rap Gospel Album for Live Revelations. The Gospel Music Association named him Male Vocalist of the Year at the 2002 Dove Awards. As a solo artist he has released Mac Powell (2012), Southpaw (2014), New Creation (2021) and I LOVE JESUS (2024), and he has lent his voice to collaborative worship projects such as City on a Hill and Glory Revealed. Powell brings a gritty Southern rock baritone, decades of worship anthems and a seasoned frontman's ease with a crowd.
