Book Kim Wilde

Kim Wilde is an English pop singer who burst onto radio in 1981 with her debut single "Kids in America," still her defining anthem. Her self-titled first album, Kim Wilde (1981), and its follow-up hits including "Chequered Love" launched a run of synth-driven pop written largely by her father Marty and brother Ricky. She kept the momentum going with Select (1982), Catch as Catch Can (1983) and Teases & Dares (1984), and in 1983 she was named top female solo act at the Brit Awards. Her energetic remake of the Supremes classic "You Keep Me Hangin' On," from Another Step (1986), climbed to number one on the US Billboard Hot 100. Close (1988) brought further favorites "You Came" and "Never Trust a Stranger." In 2003 she teamed with Nena on "Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime," a chart-topper in the Netherlands and Austria. Later records such as Never Say Never (2006), the festive Wilde Winter Songbook (2013), Here Come the Aliens (2018) and Closer (2025) show fifteen studio albums in all. She is also an award-winning landscape gardener and TV presenter; live, she delivers hit-packed eighties pop with rock energy.
