Katie Douglas is a Canadian actress whose run of horror and thriller roles has made her a modern scream queen, and who reached a global audience as Abby on the Netflix comedy drama Ginny & Georgia, which premiered in 2021. She first acted on screen at age six in F2: Forensic Factor, then in 2013 played Sally Wilcox on Spooksville, a performance that brought her a Daytime Creative Arts Emmy nomination at 15, and appeared in the film Compulsion. Television roles followed on Defiance (2013 to 2015), Raising Expectations (2016 to 2018), Mary Kills People (2017 to 2019) and Pretty Hard Cases (2021 to 2023). Her first leading film part came in the 2018 thriller Level 16, and that year she also starred in the true crime TV movie Believe Me: The Abduction of Lisa McVey. She later headlined The Girl Who Escaped: The Kara Robinson Story (2023), which won her a Canadian Screen Award. Her recent films include The Walk (2022), Lazareth (2024) and Clown in a Cornfield (2025). Douglas brings intensity and emotional depth to every role, from suspense to coming-of-age drama.
