Book Jon Peter Lewis
Jon Peter Lewis, known to fans as JPL, is an American singer and songwriter, born November 7, 1979, who rose to national attention as a finalist on the third season of American Idol. He auditioned in Honolulu with Van Morrison's "Crazy Love", earned praise from Simon Cowell for his voice, and won over viewers with a fearless, free-spirited stage presence. Cowell later called him the dark horse of the competition, Rolling Stone picked him as a contender, and Elton John praised his pitch and phrasing. Along the way he performed Elton John's "Tiny Dancer" and advanced through the wild card round with "A Little Less Conversation". After Idol he launched his recording career with the debut album Stories From Hollywood in 2006, followed by Break the Silence in 2008. He later teamed with his friend Ryan Hayes in the duo Midas Whale, which competed on the fourth season of The Voice.
