Book Imperial Circus
Hailing from Fukuoka, Imperial Circus Dead Decadence is a Japanese metal band that fuses melodic death, symphonic and power metal into a dramatic, theatrical sound. Founded in 2007 as a doujin project, the group has evolved through several line-up changes into a six-piece built around twin vocalists, with Akira Natsuki and Rib:y(uhki) trading melodic singing and harsh vocals over the guitars of Kim and Kohei Iyoda, the drums of Shūhei Kamada and the bass of Motoishi Hisayuki. They self-released their debut album in 2008 and followed it with a second full-length in 2011, along with a series of EPs in 2010, 2014 and 2017 that grew their cult following. In 2022 they returned with their third album, MOGARI, their first full-length in 11 years, which reached number 61 on the Japanese Albums Chart despite being an independent release. The single Yuuaku no Inori - Anima immortalis est. followed in December 2025. Fans of intense, ornate metal get a performance full of speed, symphonic grandeur and sharp contrast between beauty and brutality.
