Book Ice-T

Ice-T is a hip-hop pioneer, heavy metal frontman and one of television's most familiar faces, a rare entertainer who has thrived in three different arenas. He rose from the underground rap scene to sign with Sire Records in 1987, releasing his debut Rhyme Pays, and followed with Power (1988), The Iceberg/Freedom of Speech... Just Watch What You Say! (1989), O.G. Original Gangster (1991) and Home Invasion (1993), a critically acclaimed and commercially successful run. In 1990 he co-founded the metal band Body Count, which has released eight studio albums, most recently Merciless (2024). He won a Grammy Award in 1990 in the rap duo or group category and earned further Grammy and MTV Video Music Award nominations. On screen he moved from Breakin' to a starring turn as detective Scotty Appleton in New Jack City (1991), and he became a longtime fixture on Law & Order: Special Victims Unit, work that has brought him NAACP Image Award honors. As a speaker, Ice-T is candid, funny and street-smart, sharing lessons on hustle, longevity and reinventing yourself across music and media.
