Book Houndmouth
Houndmouth is an American rock band from New Albany, Indiana, known for a warm, rootsy blend of alternative blues, Americana and classic rock with rich group harmonies. Formed in the summer of 2011, the band features Matt Myers on guitar and vocals, Caleb Hickman on keyboards and vocals, Zac Anderson on bass and vocals, and Noah Denney on drums. After building a following in Louisville and across Indiana, they played SXSW in 2012 with a homemade four-song EP, and Rough Trade head Geoff Travis signed them soon after. Their debut album, From the Hills Below the City (2013), led to appearances on Letterman, Conan and World Cafe and slots at Austin City Limits, Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, the Americana Music Festival and Newport Folk Festival. The 2015 follow-up, Little Neon Limelight, carried the single "Sedona," which they performed on the Late Show with David Letterman. Golden Age arrived in 2018, followed by Good for You in 2021 and Lordy in 2026. Houndmouth's live shows are loose, soulful and full of sing-along choruses, delivering the kind of roots-rock energy that has made them festival favorites.
